Postdoctoral position - The Neurosciences Institute in San Diego, CA – application of DTI to brain models

The Neurosciences Institute, located in San Diego, California, invites applications for a POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP in theoretical neurobiology, available immediately. The fellow will participate in the ongoing project to build a large-scale model of the mammalian brain with white-matter anatomy using human Diffusion Tensor Imaging and fiber-tracking methods (see Research description).

Applicants should have Ph.D in Mathematics, Physics, or related field, background in computational neuroscience, an established research record in DTI and fibertracking methods, working knowledge of C, MATLAB, and Linux operating system.

Fellows will receive stipends appropriate to their qualifications and experience.
